Job Summary

Power Systems Engineer on the SpaceX Redmond Facilities team designing, building, and activating electrical systems for manufacturing facilities. Responsible for electrical power distribution, switchgear, lighting, grounding, UPS, generators, and coordination with utilities. Provide engineering support for operation and troubleshooting of facility electrical components, ensure compliance with NFPA 70E/NEC/other codes, and perform load-flow analyses and equipment evaluations. Requires collaboration with technicians, architects, trade partners, and internal customers; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. BASIC qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 1+ years of related experience; preferred are 3+ years, PE license, and proficiency with VFDs, MODBUS, medium-voltage distribution, and control panel design.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of professional experience working on electrical projects, power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS's, and/or generators

Additional Requirements

  • ITAR compliance: U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
