Job Summary
Monitor inputs from ICCP and SCADA into the State Estimator, ensuring accurate contingency analysis study results. Collaborate with transmission operators and reliability coordinators to maintain system reliability and coordinate transmission system flows within prescribed limits. Maintain the accuracy and availability of the Energy Management System while participating in projects that advance future operations. Develop familiarity with the MISO footprint and establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule as part of the Engineer in Reserve program.
Required Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology
- The ability and willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Utility, transmission operations, real-time operations, or a related field
- Previous Energy Management System (EMS) experience
- Transient/Voltage stability experience
- Programming Experience in C, C++, VBA, Perl, Python
