Power Services Engineer (NETA III)

Job Summary
Conduct acceptance and maintenance testing of power distribution equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, grounding systems, and distribution gear. Train entry-level technicians on proper testing procedures and equipment operation while working independently. Operate various technological devices and custom test equipment software to perform third-party independent testing for electrically powered systems. Work typically 8am to 5pm during the week, with occasional after-hours and weekend requirements. Travel to local and out-of-area customer sites in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and Hawaii. Maintain a drug-free status and possess a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Eligibility requirements to be insured under the company's insurance plan
- NETA Level 3+ certification
- Relative experience in testing of Circuit breakers, Transformers, Grounding systems, Distribution gear, and cables
- Previous schooling, work experience, or internship in an electrical trade
- Good understanding of power distribution and electrical components
- Understanding of the Hazards in work around electric circuits
- Ability to comprehend electrical theory
- Good customer relations skills
- Self-starter
- Ability to work independently when required
- Reliable transportation to travel to and from office or a customer's site
- Flexibility to travel to out of area jobs for up to a two-week duration
- Maintain a Drug free status
- Ability to move about the jobsite as needed
- Ability to move work related equipment up to 50lbs
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Ability to operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer
- Ability to occasionally ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs
Desired Qualifications
- AAS or BS degree in electrical engineering or industrial electronics
