Job Summary
Power Service Technician responsible for safe startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mission-critical power systems across the country, including onsite startups for PDUs, RPPs, switchboards, and electrical distribution equipment; diagnose field issues and perform warranty repairs; support on-call emergency service and uphold OSHA/NFPA 70E safety standards in energized environments; collaborate with engineering and production during testing and product validation; requires strong electrical background, ability to read schematics/diagrams, and travel up to 75%; physical demands include lifting 50 lbs and working in data centers.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years working with low-voltage electrical distribution equipment
- Strong knowledge of 3-phase systems, grounding, protective devices, and control wiring
- Ability to troubleshoot energized and de-energized systems safely
- Experience reading schematics, one-lines, and wiring diagrams
- Comfortable working in data centers or other mission-critical environments
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75%
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding field environments
