Job Summary

Develop and maintain forecasts of load, sales, and power supply requirements, analyzing data to produce recurring and ad hoc reports for management and the Board of Directors. Collect, validate, and maintain portfolio data to support budgeting, rate planning, and resource decision-making, while performing pricing and cost analyses including scenario modeling. Monitor compliance with state and federal requirements related to renewable energy and greenhouse gas programs, coordinating filings and supporting documentation. Review legislation and regulatory developments to provide briefing materials and recommendations for the Chief Resources Officer, and deliver executive-ready presentations and dashboards. Collaborate with the Power Resources Manager to ensure consistency of assumptions across forecasts and budgets, and support tracking of energy efficiency and renewable compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in electric utility power supply, resource planning, energy markets, regulatory compliance/reporting, budgeting/forecasting, or related analytical work
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in electric utility power supply, power resources, energy markets, resource planning, regulatory compliance/reporting, or closely related analytical work
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills required
  • Must demonstrate advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong capability with analytical and reporting tools, including spreadsheets, databases, and report writing/visualization tools used for forecasting, portfolio tracking, and compliance documentation
  • Ability to improve workflow efficiency through data structuring, quality control, and automation techniques
  • Occasional day and overnight travel will be required

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred emphasis in mathematics/statistics, business, economics, engineering, finance or closely related field
  • Demonstrated expert experience conducting complex financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling preferred
