Job Summary
The Power Rental Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing equipment such as diesel engines, electric power generators, compressors, and HVAC systems. The role requires planning and performing minor repairs, ordering parts, and demonstrating proper use of service information systems. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related mechanical repair experience. Essential skills include intermediate diagnostic and repair skills, basic computer proficiency, and effective communication. Physical requirements include lifting up to 75 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in varying conditions. Safety training and adherence to safety standards are critical.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent required
- A minimum of one (1) year's work experience involving mechanical repairs or a combination of relevant experience and equivalent technical education is required
- Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required
- Intermediate engine, transmission, hydraulic, electrical diagnostic, and repair skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
