Job Summary
Provide accurate technical information to support generator diagnostics and repair while maintaining high phone and email response rates. Travel to support technical customer issues and deliver product training as required. Analyze warranty claims to identify emerging product concerns and prioritize quality issues for resolution with manufacturing and engineering teams. Drive conformance to JCB standards for service closure and communicate necessary field actions via technical bulletins and product updates. Support testing of failed components to ascertain detailed failure information. Work in an office or occasionally manufacturing environment, handling noise and temperature changes. Full-time exempt role based in San Antonio, TX or Savannah, GA, with up to 15% travel across North America.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read advanced electrical schematics and control logic flows
- Strong technical diagnostic skills on power generation equipment and components
- 5 years of experience in power generation and internal combustion engine equipment, maintenance and repair
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Collaborative approach to resolving issues impacting various groups across the enterprise
- Ability to understand processes (system and non-system), troubleshoot, develop, and recommend solutions
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and be a self-motivated team player
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft Project
