Job Summary
Provide accurate technical information to customers to support generator diagnostics and repair while maintaining high phone and email response rates. Travel to support technical customer issues and provide product training as required. Analyze warranty claims to identify emerging product concerns and prioritize quality issues for resolution with manufacturing and engineering teams. Drive conformance to JCB standards for service concern closure and communicate field actions via technical bulletins and updates. Support testing of failed components to ascertain detailed failure information. Work in an office or manufacturing environment with occasional travel up to 15% across North America.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read advanced electrical schematics and control logic flows
- Strong technical diagnostic skills on power generation equipment and components
- 5 years of experience in power generation and internal combustion engine equipment, maintenance and repair
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Collaborative approach to resolving issues impacting various groups across the enterprise
- Ability to understand processes (system and non-system), troubleshoot, develop, and recommend solutions
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and be a self-motivated team player
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft Project
- Must be able to remain stationary, operate hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Must be occasionally required to stand and move and/or walk
- Must frequently move and/or transport up to 10 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be available for occasional travel to customers and dealers (up to 15%) across North America
- Must be based in San Antonio, TX OR Savannah, GA
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with large rental fleets preferred, but not required
