Job Summary
Power Platform Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining internal low-code applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI) to streamline internal processes. Work with business teams to understand needs, build maintainable solutions, ensure security and documentation, and provide post-launch support. Role emphasizes collaboration, delivering practical tools, and aligning projects with business objectives while following ALM practices and governance. Hybrid work arrangement in Edmonton, AB, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Postsecondary education in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Professional experience delivering business applications or workflow solutions in a professional setting (e.g. as a developer, systems analyst, or similar).
- Practical experience building and supporting low-code solutions – ideally using Microsoft Power Platform or comparable technologies.
- Strong, hands-on proficiency with Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) and Power Automate.
- Experience with Dataverse (or similar databases) for designing data models, defining business rules, and managing data securely.
- Familiarity with Power BI for creating basic dashboards or reports is an asset.
- Understanding of end-to-end solution lifecycle (building, testing, deploying, and supporting applications) and experience applying that in a team environment.
- Excellent comunicação skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into practical digital solutions.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in plain language to ensure understanding and adoption by users at all levels.
- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements or provide training/demos.
