Job Summary
Design, build, test, and support applications using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse to improve production operations and streamline workflows. Partner with production teams to understand business needs and develop solutions for production planning, inventory visibility, and operational reporting. Create automated workflows, user-friendly forms, and dashboards while troubleshooting application issues and implementing reliable fixes. Gather requirements, document processes, and train end users on Power Platform applications. Collaborate with IT Development Team members on development standards and deployment. This role reports to the Business Applications Lead within the Gertens IT Development Team, focusing on practical technology solutions for production and agriculture environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Business, or related field
- 2+ years of experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform
- Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, and/or other data sources
- Ability to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate needs into practical technical solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for solving business problems through technology and automation
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently while partnering with business users and IT Development Team members
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools and business applications
- Ability to work in an office environment and visit production areas as needed
- Must be comfortable working with users in both office and operational settings
- Occasional flexibility may be required during peak seasons, system launches, or critical support needs
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and perform light physical tasks
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Power BI reporting or dashboard development experience preferred
- Understanding of Power Platform best practices, including ALM, solution management, security, and environment strategy
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-900, PL-400, PL-200, preferred
- Interest in production, agriculture, or plants preferred!
