Job Summary
Design, build, test, and maintain web-based applications, client-server solutions, and automation scripts using Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Dataverse, and SQL to support VA Specialty Care business processes. Develop solutions by defining requirements with business leads, analyzing system enhancements, and writing program specifications. Execute testing by documenting conditions, creating test data, and coordinating system and acceptance testing while developing user guides and training materials. Contribute to concurrent project requests and maintain data and process models throughout the period of performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience developing and modifying web-based applications, client-server applications, or OS scripts for process automation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse) and Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) or Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Experience implementing and integrating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software into existing architecture
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including planning, documenting, coding, modifying, testing, and implementing computer programs, using a Systems Development Methodology
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting VA/VHA and/or other federal health agencies
- Experience documenting test conditions, creating test data, and analyzing test results; coordinating system testing and assisting users with acceptance testing
- Experience analyzing and designing new or existing system enhancements, working closely with users to define requirements, and writing program specifications
- Experience assisting in the development and maintenance of data and process models, work plans, and project organization
- Experience developing administrator and end-user guides and training materials
