Job Summary
Operate, maintain, and monitor plant systems from the control room to ensure safe, efficient generation. Respond to alarms with corrective actions and execute start-up and shutdown procedures. Maintain logs and environmental records, perform electrical switching and tagging per lockout procedures, participate in plant housekeeping, and conduct preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance as needed. Read instrumentation, gauges, readouts, and color variations; utilize CMMS to document work orders and maintenance actions; ensure compliance with environmental permits and site safety requirements; collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Plant Management to meet safety and operating objectives. The role requires reading computer-generated data, completing required testing (including cycle chemistry) and maintaining operating parameters; clear communication and ongoing skill development are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of related experience
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
- If applicable, candidate will hold the required level of state license as recognized by the governing body of that particular state (MA, OH)
- Commonwealth of Massachusetts 2nd Class Engineer’s License preferred
- All applicants must be a successful candidate on the POSS / MASS program
