Job Summary
Seeking a Power Plant Shift Supervisor/Generation Dispatcher at Homer Electric Association. Candidates require a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in power generation operations, with supervisory skills preferred. Role involves managing crew schedules, providing training, and ensuring compliance with dispatch protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Five (5) years of work experience in operations and maintenance of power generation facilities or equivalent
- Must submit a valid Alaska Driver's license and maintain a good driving record
- Comprehensive understanding of power plant operations
- Ability to lead others
- Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to read schematics and drawings of the system
- Must possess electrical utility technical knowledge of system operations
- Must possess Combustion and Steam Turbine operation and maintenance experience
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Previous Combined Cycle experience
