Job Summary
Monitor coal-fired power plant performance on site and remotely via plant information software, conducting site walk downs and equipment inspections. Perform high-level performance analyses of equipment and subsystems to identify and troubleshoot issues, engaging corporate resources to resolve problems. Track progress of plant projects and support outage work while generating written reports on findings and recommended actions. Present results verbally to plant and corporate personnel. Manage responsibility for one to three plants and systems as an individual contributor, working independently with moderate direction. Travel up to 70% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 Years Experience in related field
- Accredited bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
- Experience with coal-fired power plant equipment and systems
- Able to become proficient with plant information systems/software and remote monitoring
- Able to work independently in the field
- Able to be responsible for a 1 to 3 plants and/or systems
- Experience with performance monitoring and identifying performance issues
- Experience troubleshooting systems and equipment
- Experience performing site walk downs and equipment inspections
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good people skills and ability to be productive in a plant environment
- Comfortable learning new processes and system configurations
- Able to be an individual contributor working alone with moderate levels of direction
- Travel up to 70% of the time
