Job Summary
Assess prospective sites from a power and utilities perspective, including power availability, grid capacity, and infrastructure requirements. Evaluate connection timelines, delivery risks, and long-term scalability of power supply to support technical due diligence for land acquisition. Coordinate with utilities, TSOs, DSOs/DNOs, consultants, and contractors to plan transmission and distribution infrastructure, including substations and power cable routes. Monitor progress of grid connection applications, utility agreements, and project milestones while reviewing tariffs and technical requirements. Assess front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter power solutions, including renewable energy, battery storage, and private wire opportunities. Prepare technical assessments, reports, and recommendations for project decision-making across Land Development, Construction, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline
- 6+ years of experience in power infrastructure, utility networks, grid connections, energy projects or land development
- Experience working with utilities, TSOs, DSOs/DNOs, grid operators or engineering consultants
- Understanding of transmission and distribution systems, substations and utility connection processes
- Experience supporting technical due diligence and site feasibility assessments
- Knowledge of utility regulations, permitting requirements and electricity market frameworks
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across infrastructure projects
- Experience working across multiple European markets
Desired Qualifications
- Data center, critical infrastructure or renewable energy experience
- Exposure to land development and site selection processes
- Knowledge of energy storage, private wire and alternative power solutions
