Power HVAC Mechanic

Job Summary
Perform maintenance and repair of diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification systems on rental and customer tools. Report machine condition to management and handle service documentation while providing exceptional customer service. Occasional travel to customer sites is required, along with demonstrating equipment to clients and training lower-level technicians. Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts, plus complete other duties as assigned. This role offers potential for advancement to higher-level Tech positions within the Power/HVAC division at United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment
- Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
- Strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines
- Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Own the tools applicable to position
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
