Job Summary
Power House Attendant providing semi-skilled support to operate, maintain, and repair stationary plant equipment (boilers, HVAC, generators) and monitor related systems. Responsibilities include monitoring boiler fires and pressure, performing minor repairs and preventive maintenance on boilers, treating water for feed systems, operating and maintaining water softeners, adjusting HVAC computer controls, monitoring temperatures/humidity, supervising emergency generators, responding to routine and emergency service calls, maintaining logs and state records, and assisting in operation and maintenance of various plant equipment and systems across the campus. Requires high school diploma or GED and 3–6 months related experience or equivalent; knowledge of mechanical/electrical equipment and safety/privacy practices; ability to work in a healthcare-leaning community environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Some experience or knowledge of operating/maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment used for providing heat, ventilation, power, refrigeration or air conditioning
- Possession of or ability to obtain knowledge of electrical, gasoline, or diesel-powered equipment
