Job Summary
Power Helper supports installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment under supervision of technicians/foremen; responsibilities include assisting with handling tools, maintaining clean and safe work areas, following safety protocols, assisting in inspections, preparing materials, and performing tasks to facilitate efficient operations. Must understand electrical power systems, differentiate power poles/panels, operate tools safely, avoid energized lines, and participate in safety meetings. Two-person lifting and exposure to electrical hazards are noted; forklift certification is provided or required after hire. Strong emphasis on teamwork, customer service during delivery, and adherence to safety instructions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a related field is beneficial
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
- Duties require lifting up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting 50-100 pounds (two-person lifting over 100 pounds)
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work
- Ability to work in a team under supervision
- Forklift certification provided or required after hire
