Job Summary
Mobilize and demobilize gas turbine packages and related equipment within scheduled time constraints while preparing and installing hardware on turbine and air handling trailers. Conduct pre-job and post-job analysis, perform filter change outs, and evaluate operational readiness of gas turbines under the direction of the on-site supervisor. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and industry best practices throughout all tasks. This rotational role requires >75% travel, a Thursday–Wednesday schedule, and on-call availability. Candidates must possess a valid U.S. driver's license, work without sponsorship, and complete mandatory safety training.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required
- 3 year U.S. driving history
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0-3 years previous mechanical and/or controls experience
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend fundamental English
- Must be able to lift 49 lbs independently
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs with a team lift
- Ability to effectively communicate and comprehend the English language
- Ability to understand all health and safety communications
- Ability to possess a sufficient level of relevant equipment knowledge
- Ability to comprehend verbal and written communications from the company and other employees
- Ability to comprehend all operational and safety procedures
- Ability to understand alerts and emergency notifications, including Responses to Alerts, Warnings and Emergencies
- Ability to understand the contents of announcements and/or radio communications
- Ability to effectively and independently communicate with customers, supervisors, and colleagues
- Ability to prevent workplace accidents and/or injuries through effective communication
- Ability to attend, participate, and complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training
- Attends and completes annual safety recertification training
- Ability to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks
- Ability to take instruction well and positively interact with other employees within the framework of assigned work groups
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and be receptive to new instructions
- Fully knowledgeable, compliant, and takes initiative to promote and work with digital platforms including Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company-mandated systems
- Possess basic proficiency in Microsoft platforms (Office, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Ability to learn and effectively demonstrate rig up rig down procedures within 3 months of employment
- Ability to learn and effectively demonstrate the steps for outside rig up/rig down procedures and coupling room techniques
- Strong ability to organize daily tasks and work within defined timelines to meet operational requirements
- Pays attention to detail, dedicated, and diligent in operational execution
- Must be able to effectively communicate and comprehend the English language
- Must be able to understand all health and safety communications
