Power Generation Electrician

Job Summary
Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair low- and medium-voltage electrical systems for power generation assets, including generators, switchgear, transformers, and auxiliary equipment. Perform electrical terminations, cable routing, and panel wiring while conducting insulation resistance, continuity, and voltage measurements to verify operational readiness. Troubleshoot faults and implement corrective actions in compliance with OSHA, NEC, and NFPA 70E standards, utilizing Lockout/Tagout protocols. Document all diagnostic steps and parts usage in the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Maintain company property and vehicles while adhering to HSE policies and safety briefings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of previous medium voltage electrical experience
- Previous field experience with data centers, micro-grids, mining, or industrial construction
- Maintaining a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Must be physically able to sit or stand for long periods, work indoors and outdoors, and withstand extreme weather conditions
- Must be physically able to safely operate a company vehicle day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Technical college training
- Certified Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician
- Familiarity with NEC / Country codes
- Familiarity with OSHA / Code requirements
- Fundamental understanding of natural gas reciprocating and turbine engines
- Fundamental understanding of control systems and instrumentation
- Fundamental understanding of power generators and electricity
- Fundamental understanding of network protocols and communication devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Personable, can maintain good rapport with organizational leadership, clients, and team
- Must be driven, self-motivated, well-organized, and have good time management skills
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications and able to quickly learn other work-related software
