Job Summary
Senior Power Engineering Technologist responsible for designing complex electric distribution facilities and coordinating large-scale projects across a wide geographic area. Leads with minimal supervision, directs workflow of technologists, ensures compliance with local, state, and federal codes and client standards, and acts as liaison between client and team. Key duties include preparing construction drawings and calculations for complex installations, creating work requests, coordinating with clients and field personnel, serving as a department lead for training and technical support, and acting as lead or point of contact for large infrastructure programs. Strong emphasis on safety, project deliverables, client relations, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Regular ATTENDANCE is required
- EDUCATION: High school degree or GED
- Education: Associate degree (AA) or equivalent preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in non-engineering science, math or business preferred
- Experience: 5-7 years experience in utility power distribution engineering or craft
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports and business correspondence, present information
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions
- REASONING ABILITY: ability to interpret instructions, solve practical problems
- OTHER SKILLS: teamwork, negotiating, time management, effective oral and written communication, Microsoft Office proficiency
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: standard physical demands and environmental notes include ability to work in various conditions and safety compliance
