Job Summary
Power Electronics Engineer with a strong foundation in power electronics and analog control systems design. Collaborate across product management and engineering to develop requirements, support feasibility, and contribute to all phases of product development from concept through production. Responsibilities include system-level design, detailed hardware design and bring-up, prototyping, test plan development and execution, integration with software and mechanical designs, design for manufacturability and production readiness, debugging and validation in lab, manufacturing, and customer environments, and ensuring safety, EMI/EMC, and regulatory compliance. Requires 8+ years of hands-on experience in power electronics, knowledge of analog (and asset in digital) control, thermal management, PCB layout, and cross-functional communication. Travel with evolving requirements and a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable power electronic products. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- At least 8 years of hands-on industry experience in power electronics design and development
- Experience with power electronics topologies, power semiconductor devices, gate drive design, magnetics, and control methods
- Solid understanding of analog control systems; exposure to digital control is an asset
- Working knowledge of thermal management, PCB layout, and electro-mechanical considerations for high-power designs
- Experience supporting safety, EMI/EMC, and regulatory requirements for power electronic products
- Experience contributing to multiple phases of product development, from concept through production
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with cross-functional teams
