Job Summary
The Power Electronics Engineer will lead the design and validation of electronic control assemblies for Brushless DC and induction motors, critical to aerospace cargo handling and actuation systems. Responsibilities include technical leadership in electronic circuit development, compliance audits, and collaboration across engineering disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years' hands-on electronics design and validation, ideally within an AS9100 environment
- Expertise in motor drive design, including control of BLDC and/or induction motors for aerospace or defense application
- Proven experience supporting product certification, compliance testing, and technical documentation in regulated industries
- Proficiency with PSPICE, Altium Designer, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or equivalent tools
- Demonstrated accountability, ownership of schedules, and strong attention to detail in documentation.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with embedded firmware (C/C++) and DSP/FPGA integration
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation strategies and aerospace environmental standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, -704, -1275)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
