Job Summary
Lead technical oversight of site power distribution systems with advanced leadership over maintenance, commissioning, and decommissioning to support reliability and production targets. Act as SME for power distribution, guiding complex electrical activities, and coordinating with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external stakeholders. Develop and govern transformer maintenance strategies and long-term asset plans, manage budgets and forecasts, supervise contractors and line crews, and mentor engineers and maintenance personnel to build capability and knowledge transfer. Establish and maintain technical standards, procedures, and best practices; ensure safety, regulatory, and company compliance while reviewing electrical studies, maintenance plans, and system modifications. Drive risk mitigation for high-risk, high-complexity electrical issues and align power distribution strategies with production goals. Expected collaboration with APS, County Governments, municipalities, and other stakeholders to ensure reliability and production objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field AND three (3) years power distribution experience
- Journeyman level ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials, including blueprints
- Transformer and high voltage maintenance experience
- Experience with Process Automation and Delta V systems
- Prior project management and detailed job planning experience
- Experience managing and leading capital projects
