Job Summary

Conduct independently performing field data collection, project inspections, and permitting documentation for moderately complex power distribution systems. Produce high-quality computer-aided design drawings and material lists for overhead, underground, lighting, and gas generation projects. Communicate directly with clients, customers, and construction crews to progress projects, while providing guidance and training to peers on simple tasks. Ensure all communications are properly documented and lead site meetings with oversight. This role supports engineering projects through a mix of office-based planning and significant field work, including site visits to collect measurements, take photos, and observe conditions. Candidates must be prepared for outdoor environments in inclement weather, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow, while carrying tools and equipment across rough terrain.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Seven years relevant work experience
  • Associate's Degree and five years of distribution design-related work experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Capable of moving around work sites
  • Minimum of one mile walking on rough terrain
  • Carrying tools and equipment
