Job Summary
Power Design Engineer responsible for designing, qualifying, and testing DC/DC and AC/DC power supplies. Design onboard POL and multi-phase VRD for server platform. Generate AC/DC power supply and VRM specifications and co-develop with external vendors as needed. Analyze failures, provide solutions, and coordinate with suppliers for implementation. Test and qualify alternate components; assist system engineers to debug power system issues; support design verification; qualify hardware/firmware used in power supplies and interactions with host systems. Work with other designers to determine logic and functional requirements, generate test conditions, and create test fixtures and procedures. Design analog I/O interface circuits for monitoring and controlling power supply functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (CHEA accredited) with major coursework in Electrical Engineering - Analog and Power Electronics preferred
- 5-10 years full-time in power supply design engineering role; project management is a plus
- Experience with power supply architecture, topologies, and design; familiarity with Intel/AMD/ARM specs; power factor correction, redundancy, distributed power; EMI and safety requirements; multi-phase DC/DC design; PC/Server architecture is a plus; ability to communicate clearly
