Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support business and policy decision-making. Create and manage data sources, datasets, semantic models, and DAX measures while optimizing SQL queries for performance and scalability. Transform complex datasets into meaningful insights by collaborating with customers, data scientists, and engineers to gather requirements and present solutions. Own the complete SDLC from requirements gathering through production deployment and post-production support. Troubleshoot reporting and data issues to ensure accuracy and governance across all deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI report development, dashboard design, and analytics consulting
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, dashboards, reports, KPIs, and workspace management
- Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries across relational databases
- Experience creating and managing Power BI data sources, datasets, and semantic models
- Hands-on experience with report optimization, performance tuning, and handling large, complex datasets
- Experience managing the complete lifecycle of Power BI reporting solutions from requirements gathering through production support
- Ability to work directly with customers and confidently present reporting solutions to business stakeholders
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business users, data scientists, analysts, and data engineers
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills with an eye for effective visualization design
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Snowflake would be preferred
