Job Summary
The Powder Paint Prep Operator operates phosphatizing equipment and power hand tools to prep parts for painting, ensuring all parts are prepared for paint adhesion. Responsibilities include equipment setup and maintenance, quality and safety prioritization, and maintaining an organized work area. The role requires specific skills in operating powered hand tools and the ability to lift and carry materials within specified weight limits. Supervision is notified of any equipment issues, and accurate records of time and quantities must be maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate a powered industrial lift (forklift) and overhead crane (on-the-job training provided)
- Good reading skills
- Powered hand tool skills
- Ability to read and speak English
Desired Qualifications
- Blueprint Reading skills preferred
