Job Summary
Lead the day-to-day operations of the Powder Coating Department, scheduling work to meet production requirements and customer deadlines. Provide direction, training, and coaching to employees while ensuring they follow safety procedures and OSHA policies. Troubleshoot production, equipment, and process issues, and oversee all aspects of the operation including powder application, product prep, track system loading/unloading, packaging, assembly, and quality inspection. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase department efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to motivate employees and hold team members accountable
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet production needs
- Ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desired Qualifications
- Powder coating or finishing experience preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with production deadlines and quality requirements
- Experience with an ERP system or similar manufacturing software preferred
- Knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and materials preferred
