Job Summary
Execute powder coating operations by blasting parts to engineering standards, applying electrostatic powder with even coverage, and performing quality checks on thickness and color. Manage on/off loading of materials using hoists and cranes, arranging staging by priority and color while maintaining daily shift logs. Complete all preparatory steps including blow-downs, caulking, and packaging, while adhering to strict SOPs and safety protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Coordinate burn-offs and support assembly departments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to six months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds repeatedly
- Able to work in fast paced environment standing for long periods of time
- Understand applicable Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures in the workplace
- Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor/manager and/or a JHSC member immediately
- Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage to your supervisor/manager and/or a JHSC member immediately
- May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, high visibility vests, etc.)
- Attention to detail for quality control and safety compliance
- Following complex instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Problem-solving for minor machine malfunctions or production issues
