Job Summary
Direct supervision of hourly production personnel while maintaining daily communication with department management, scheduling, quality, and plant leadership. Develops understanding of pouring line technology including machinery, PLC, and formulations, then follows standard operating procedures to ensure efficient material, machine, and manpower usage. Physically assist equipment setup, participate in Pour Line projects, and interact with Reinhart Technical Center support groups and suppliers. Provide directions to hourly employees regarding production, quality, safety, and order value. Requires B.S. in Chemical, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering with six months to one year of experience. This entry-level role offers extensive training on polyurethane slab stock production at Carpenter Co.'s Riverside, CA plant.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering
- Six months to one year of experience
- Willingness to work as a team member in a 'hands-on' production environment
- Ability to work successfully in an autonomous environment
- Capability to work under just-in-time and lean manufacturing theories
- This is an exempt, bi-weekly position
- Carpenter Co. conducts pre-employment drug testing on all applicants that receive and accept a written offer of employment
