Job Summary
The Pouring Line Engineer will support polyurethane slab stock production at Carpenter Co.’s Fogelsville, PA plant. Responsibilities include direct supervision of hourly production personnel, daily communication with department management, production personnel, scheduling, quality and plant management, and assisting with supervision of production and personnel functions. Develop understanding of pouring line technology (machinery, PLC and formulations), follow SOPs, participate in root cause activities, interact with PTC Technical Support Group, assist with equipment setup, and liaise with suppliers. Requires a BS in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry, 1–2 years manufacturing experience, ability to work in a team-oriented hands-on environment, and flexibility to work required shift levels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of science degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry required
- 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment
- Willingness to work as a team member in a “hands-on” production environment
- Ability to work successfully in an autonomous environment
- Willingness and ability to work necessary shift levels
