Job Summary
Poultry Processing Supervisor who will supervise the production line/department personnel to ensure compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs and USDA/OSHA regulations while achieving productivity and meeting customer specifications. Responsibilities include managing production line procedures and schedules, deploying personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics, ensuring accurate daily reporting, identifying opportunities for process optimization, leading process-improvement initiatives, partnering with Quality Assurance to maintain a food-safe environment, mentoring and training staff, administering performance actions, enforcing safety initiatives and PPE usage, and collaborating with other departments to meet location goals. Requires strong English communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, proficiency in computer and math tasks, and the ability to work non-standard shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. The role supports up to 100 employees and is located at Wayne-Sanderson Farms’ Hammond Plant in Louisiana, USA; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree with relevant college coursework preferred
- Minimum one (1) years’ experience within a manufacturing setting
- Three (3) years’ experience in food manufacturing or poultry industry preferred
- Demonstrated one (1) years’ leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, Top 25 behaviors, conflict resolution and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively; three (3) years’ experience preferred
- Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP
