Job Summary
Conduct indoor pottery classes by demonstrating wheel-throwing techniques, guiding guests through centering, pulling walls, and trimming, and explaining terminology. Prepare clay by wedging and centering as needed, then organize, label, and store guest pieces throughout the process. Create and teach arts and crafts activities while monitoring inventories, ordering wine from room service, and cleaning all areas to ensure wheels and tools are clay-free. Arrive 30 minutes prior to program start wearing a nametag and uniform, sweep and mop floors, and maintain neat cottages for the next day. This on-call position requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working indoors in varied conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease
- Basic computer skills
- Strong team member relations skills
- Must pass thorough background screening prior to commencing work
- Lifting/Carrying up to 50 lbs
- Hearing and manual dexterity
- Distance vision 1-3 feet
- Ability to drive a golf cart
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a BA
- Teaching or supervisory skills
- Possess the desire to teach guests to create art and expand their creativity on a daily basis
- Need to be flexible and able to work on an on call basis
