Job Summary
Postsecondary Support Counselor focused on reducing summer melt by providing guidance to students on postsecondary plans. Responsibilities include advising on cost of attendance and financial aid (FAFSA), assisting with college enrollment steps, communicating with students and families, coordinating with COD representatives, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with district counselors to support students’ transition to postsecondary plans. Requires an Illinois PEL with HS Guidance endorsement; bilingual Spanish preferred; strong communication, data/documentation skills, and ability to work with families and school staff across the summer program.
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in HS Guidance / School Counseling
- Bilingual – Spanish speaking preferred
