Postsecondary Success Specialist

Job Summary
Design and implement regional workplans to improve postsecondary transition, retention, and completion for rural students. Leverage partnerships with postsecondary institutions to develop sustainable success strategies and deliver workshops for incoming and current college students. Create retention campaigns across multiple statewide institutions and connect students with internships, advisors, and career events. Coach students to navigate campus resources including financial aid, academic advising, and mental health services. Collaborate with project teams to set measurable goals and monitor progress toward achievement. This grant-funded role supports the Rural Student Success Initiative within the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service 4-H Youth Development department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Five years of related experience
- Ability to leverage technology and social media tools to reach target audience
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications
- Must be able to travel statewide
- Service locations across the state
- Regular travel to multiple service areas
Desired Qualifications
- Six or more years of relevant professional experience
- Masters in higher education
- Experience in postsecondary education settings
- Familiarity in working with rural communities and under-served rural student populations
