Job Summary
Design and implement regional strategic workplans ensuring rural students' successful transition from high school to college and postsecondary degree completion. Leverage institutional partnerships to develop sustainable success strategies and collaborate with project teams to establish measurable goals and monitor progress. Deliver student workshops and programming events for incoming and current college students, while creating retention campaigns across multiple statewide postsecondary institutions. Coach students to navigate campus resources including financial aid, academic advising, and mental health services, and connect them with internships and career events. Requires Bachelor's degree, five years of experience, and ability to travel statewide for service locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Five years of related experience
- Ability to leverage technology and social media tools to reach target audience
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications
- Must be able to travel statewide
- This role is based in College Station, TX, with service locations across the state
- The position requires regular travel to multiple service areas
- Candidates residing outside of College Station may be considered for employment through an alternate work location agreement
Desired Qualifications
- Six or more years of relevant professional experience
- Masters in higher education
- Experience in postsecondary education settings
- Familiarity in working with rural communities and under-served rural student populations
