Job Summary
Postsecondary Success Coach embedded in a RISE partner high school to guide students and families through postsecondary planning, FAFSA and scholarship steps, resumes, interviews, enrollment activities, and workforce readiness, with collaboration across counseling teams and community partners. Responsibilities include delivering targeted postsecondary programming, monitoring milestones via the RISE Data Hub, co-facilitating workshops, coordinating campaigns like Summer Melt Texting, and supporting alumni outreach; requires strong collaboration, communication, organizational and project-management skills, and the ability to travel between the partner school and RISE offices. A bachelor’s degree is required and experience with high school-age youth is essential; position is grant-funded for three years and based in Connecticut with in-person duties five days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
- Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in counseling, technical education, college admissions, teaching, and/or working with youth and families
- Experience working with high school-age youth and their families
- Must be able to travel regularly between the partner school and RISE offices. Reliable transportation is required.
