Job Summary
Process and analyze large-scale CRISPR perturbation data, including curation, normalization, quality control, and downstream statistical analysis using Python, R, and other tools. Integrate screening results with transcriptomics, metabolomics, and proteomics datasets to identify metabolic pathway alterations and functional mechanisms. Develop computational pipelines and reproducible workflows for analyzing functional genomics data, while producing analytical summaries, reports, and visualizations of gene dependency maps and network interpretations. Maintain rigorous quality standards, coordinate interdisciplinary analyses, and assist with regulatory documentation and protocol compliance. Work independently using sound judgment to interpret results regarding metabolic regulation and therapeutic response within the OHSU research team.
Required Qualifications
- PhD Degree in relevant field
- Experience or interest in data processing, text, numerical or imaging data analysis
- Experience with data analysis, high dimensional clinical or omics analysis, data visualization, and report generation
- Organizational skills, MS Office competency
- Python, R, MATLAB, and C++ programming
- Webserver and database development
- Ability to communicate effectively, relay issues and troubleshoot, problem solving abilities, and high attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in CRISPR screening data analysis and applications in metabolism related diseases
- Experience with data management, and high dimensional data analysis
- Experience in software development and/or image analysis pipeline development
- Experience in machine learning and/or deep learning
- Knowledge of cloud computing, large language model, representational learning
