Job Summary
Postdoctoral researcher to conduct research on the production, analysis and characterization of Klebsiella pneumoniae depolymerases, study jumbo phages and their receptor-binding proteins using microbiology, synthetic biology and evolution. Requires a thesis-based PhD in bacteriophage biology with expertise in cloning, recombinant production and purification of enzymes, bacteriophage microbiology (propagation, plaquing, adsorption assays), phage engineering and evolution, and a publication record with active conference contributions. Contract spans 18 months from Oct 1, 2026 to Mar 31, 2028 with remuneration determined by salary scale PD1 to PD4.
