Job Summary

Design and execute experiments analyzing the interplay between microbiota and life history traits in male Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Develop new methodologies, troubleshoot technical challenges, and analyze data to publish findings in competitive scientific journals. Mentor junior laboratory members and apply for grant and fellowship funding to support research projects. Attend relevant seminars and colloquia while developing independent projects that build upon the laboratory's ongoing work.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in the life sciences
  • Major in the life sciences; entomology, biology, microbiology, genetics, evolution, genomics, or a related field
  • Strong record of publication and success in research
  • Strong background in experimental design
  • Strong background in bioinformatics
  • Strong background in data analysis
