Job Summary
Develop fundamental theories and enabling technologies for intelligent wireless communication systems, focusing on Ambient Backscatter Communications, next-generation RFID, and AIoT. Design, model, and evaluate integrated communication, sensing, and computing technologies while collaborating with industry partners to support real-world applications. Publish research outcomes in leading international journals and conferences and contribute to the supervision and mentoring of postgraduate research students within the Centre for IoT and Telecommunications. Manage research activities, documentation, and project timelines. This two-year fixed-term position offers a base salary of $117,936 - $125,896 plus 17% superannuation.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in wireless communications, artificial intelligence, signal processing or a related discipline
- demonstrated research expertise in one or more of MIMO, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), wireless AI, integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) or wireless system optimisation
- a strong track record of publications in internationally recognised journals and conferences
- experience supporting postgraduate research students and contributing to collaborative research projects
- strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities

- satisfactory maintenance of all relevant clearances and background check requirements
Desired Qualifications
