Job Summary
Lead a state-wide effort to determine the impact of manure and biosolid applications on soil health outcomes in Texas. Conduct field experiments, collect data on soil, water, plants, and climate, analyze results, and present findings at local, regional, and national meetings. Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. These duties require physical activities, including extensive fieldwork, travel, heavy lifting, and working in extreme environments. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications for this grant-funded, state-funded position.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in soil science, microbiology, environmental toxicology, or related fields, with a focus on soil health
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent English oral, written, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
- Knowledge of advanced statistical models/tools
- Experience with large, various datasets
- Experience working with PFAS
