Job Summary
Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Queer Hope Institute at the Connie L. Lurie College of Education, collaborating with partner universities and nonprofit organizations to develop, implement, evaluate programming that supports queer and trans youth. Lead and collaborate on research initiatives, manage tasks from inception and recruitment to completion, gather quantitative and qualitative data, prepare and present findings to academic and policy audiences, monitor progress and outcomes, coordinate undergraduate assistant support, assist with budget monitoring and funder reports, and contribute to overall project management and dissemination. Emphasis on design-based research, working with marginalized LGBTQIA+ populations, and communicating with a range of stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in developmental psychology, education, or social sciences
- Experience with independently carrying out qualitative and/or quantitative research projects, including data collection, cleaning, and analysis
- Experience with IRB applications and reporting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Proficiency in qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis and research methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and statistical and/or qualitative analysis software
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience in overseeing research projects
