Postdoctoral Position in Multiphysics Modelling of Bubble Transport and Electrochemical Processes in Alkaline Electrolysers
On-siteSønderborg, South Denmark, Denmark
Job Summary
Develop and apply simulation methods for multiphase transport and current distribution in electrolyzers, investigating bubble-buoyancy-driven internal electrolyte circulation and quantifying transport processes affecting mass transfer and electrochemical performance. Integrate computational and experimental results to advance mechanistic understanding and predictive modelling, while collaborating with academic and industrial partners. Mentor and supervise students on related research questions, publish results in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to research funding applications. This postdoctoral role within the SDU Energy Systems Group aims to reduce CAPEX of green hydrogen production by developing advanced simulation tools for next-generation bipolar electrode cassettes.
