Job Summary
Postdoctoral Fellow in the Goate lab focusing on translating human genetics of Alzheimer’s disease into preventative and therapeutic interventions. Work spans translating genetics and human biology observations into in vitro (induced pluripotent stem cell models) and in vivo (mouse) systems to study innate immune modifiers of AD pathogenesis, including variants/genes such as APOE, TREM2, SPI1/PU.1, MEF2C, MS4A, and the MAPT/tau locus. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams across genetics, computational biology, immunology, neuroscience, and physician-scientists at the Ronald M. Loeb Center for Alzheimer’s Disease and partner institutions. NIH-funded position in New York City.
