Job Summary
Conduct independent research on cognitive and neuronal dysfunctions associated with acute and chronic traumatic brain injury. Analyze and interpret preclinical and clinical data using functional MRI, MRS, and proteomic datasets while selecting appropriate statistical tests and algorithms. Develop novel research methods, write scientific manuscripts, and prepare proposals for research funding and NIH grants. Collaborate directly with internal research teams and outside partners to present and publish findings. Operate in a dry laboratory environment with frequent desk-based computer tasks and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Full benefits available to eligible post-doctoral fellows.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.D. in a directly related field
- Proven record of peer-reviewed publications
- Demonstrated first-authorship success in applicable research areas
- Demonstrated effectiveness and experience working as part of a large research team
- Success performing independent research projects of varying scope
- Superior professional-level verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent judgment

- Experience with Linux

- Experience with various image analyses software programs (AFNI, FSL and SPM)
