Job Summary
Conduct biomedical research in mitochondrial molecular biology, including designing and performing experiments to address mitochondrial biology questions, developing advanced analytical models, and communicating results through conferences and manuscripts. The role involves working with human cell lines and the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as model systems, applying a broad range of molecular and cell biology techniques, preparing research reports for publication, and contributing to fellowship applications and individual development plans. Strong emphasis on learning agility, teamwork, and clear written and verbal communication within an academic medical center environment. A PhD in a relevant field is required; postdoctoral experience is not mandated, and the position supports rigorous scientific inquiry within the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and related units at the University of Miami/UHealth.
