Job Summary
Plan, execute and analyze an independent research project focused on the mechanisms of auditory and vestibular development and function using advanced mouse genetics; work involves differentiation of hair cells and supporting cells, organization of the stereociliary bundle, and understanding how these structures respond to injury, with emphasis on cytoskeletal polarization events driving morphogenesis within sensory epithelia. Strong emphasis on quantitative live imaging and inner ear biology, with clear opportunities to contribute to regenerator concepts for stereocilia. Required Qualifications
- Recently awarded Ph.D. in developmental cell biology, neuroscience, or related field
- Experience with fine dissection techniques

- Experience with quantitative live imaging or inner ear surgery
