Job Summary

Design and develop wearable biosensors and soft bioelectronic systems for continuous health monitoring by engineering functional materials and biointerfaces. Characterize sensing platforms using biomolecules, proteins, and nanomaterials through biochemical, biophysical, and electrochemical methods. Validate technologies via in vitro and ex vivo studies, then publish findings in leading international journals and present at conferences. Co-supervise MSc and PhD students while collaborating across health technology, biology, materials science, and data science to translate research into advanced healthcare solutions. This two-and-a-half-year appointment is open to PhD holders with expertise in biosensors, bioelectronics, or electrochemical sensing.

Required Qualifications

  • A PhD in biophysics, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, materials science, chemistry, or a related discipline
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: biosensors, bioelectronics, biomaterials, nanomaterials, or electrochemical sensing
  • Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and experimentally validating functional materials or sensing platforms
  • A strong publication record
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to interdisciplinary and international collaborations
  • A PhD degree (or equivalent)
